The Significance of Graduation for Students and Teachers

Graduation is a milestone that celebrates the hard work and achievements of both students and teachers. It marks the culmination of a year filled with learning, growth, and dedication.

During their Graduation ceremonies, Fairview Alternative High School and the Roseville Adult Learning Center, invite students to share stories of how teachers have profoundly impacted their lives.

These powerful stories show, you can be a student at any stage of life, and no matter your age, teachers are there to support you through the tough times. Their unwavering dedication helps guide learners of all ages towards achieving their goals.

Thanks Roseville Area Schools for sharing these incredible moments!

60+ teachers at St Cloud CAMP24 connecting and reclaiming their voices.

"Elevate Teaching: Reclaiming our Voice & Power!" at CAMP2024 in St Cloud

Elevate Teaching was invited to CAMP2024, a partnership between St. Cloud State and St. Cloud Area School District.  CAMP2024 is a meaningful space for teachers to cultivate a sense of belonging for beginning teachers, reflecting on instructional practice and building relationships that will support continued growth as a learning community.

Dr. Rose Chu and Elevate Teaching spent a fulfilling day with over 60 diverse early career teachers. During the morning keynote, we shared the journey and the roots of the "why" for Elevate Teaching.  A group of dedicated "Camp Coaches," alumni of the mentor camp program, facilitated engaging discussions during the world cafe activity in the afternoon using the Elevate Teaching champion toolkit and the message framework. The activity concluded with a powerful closing circle where everyone shared their one-word takeaway, leaving all participants inspired and energized.

We can't say enough great things about our experience at CAMP24!

Thank you to Stephanie Peterson and Mark Ziebarth from St Cloud State and Kimberly McVay from St Cloud Area School District for inviting us.

MN STEM Project Continues

The MN STEM Teacher Diversity Project met on June 26 to continue the momentum to increase interest in becoming teachers of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for K-12 schools.

Teachers, students, and education leaders are coming together to address a lack of diversity among STEM teachers and drive awareness that STEM teaching is a STEM career.
